Pollinator Project

In conjunction with Ryehill Community Council 3rd & 4th class took part in the Pollinator Project. Mark Nolan from Biodiversity in Schools gave a presentation to the children.  The students learnt importance of bees and pollination, found out where honey comes from, examined a beehive (No Live Bees !!) and beekeeping equipment.  They also got active by exploring the school grounds for pollinators and they took steps to make the school grounds more bee friendly through making flower pots and planting sunflowers.
